About the Deputy Rector

The Deputy Rector is part of a small team responsible for the overall strategic development of UNSW@ADFA. The Deputy Rector is accountable for the development and ongoing management of the student experience at UNSW@ADFA through the component units of the Student and Academic Support Group (Library, Educational Technology Services, Information and Communication Technology Services and Student Administrative Services).

The Deputy Rector also leads the educational component of the tendering and contracting activities in which UNSW@ADFA engages and is responsible for coordinating the efforts of staff in the preparation of tenders and the delivery of academic courses under new and existing contracts. A primary focus of the position is the main contract for delivery of undergraduate educational services to officer cadets and midshipmen, and postgraduate programs to members of Defence at ADFA. The Deputy Rector also has involvement in the academic management of other contracts for delivery of accredited education programs and courses, including implementation, delivery and reviews.

The Deputy Rector’s office is also responsible for the planning and reporting activities in which UNSW@ADFA is involved.
