Downloads

These downloads are made available so that people don't need to get the files from the Internet, thereby reducing the network expenses for the school. If there's a piece of software that you would like to have that isn't listed here please contact the ISG and, if possible, we'll download it for you and add it to this site.

All downloads from the UNSW@ADFA web site, including this web page are free and will not be recorded as chargeable Internet traffic against your name.

If you are unable to install the software found here because you do not have administrative access to your desktop please contact the ISG on acmeit@adfa.edu.au and we'll be happy to help you with the installation.

Fedora Core 6 (32 bit x86)

Fedora Core 6 is the latest release of the open source GNU/Linux operating system from Red Hat. It is provided here for home use or for use within a virtual environment. ACME ISG do not at this time support the installation of Fedora Core on to ACME desktop or notebook hardware. The files are provided as CD-ROM ISO images.

MiKTex 2.5

MiKTeX is an up-to-date TeX implementation for Windows operating systems.

Here is the installation file. You will need to unzip the file and double click on setup-2.5.2449 (for the Complete version of MiKTex). You may wish to read the Installation Instructions.

MacTex-2007

MacTex-2007 is an up-to-date TeX implemeation for MAC operating systems, covering 10.3, 10.4 and 10.5, supporting TeX, LaTeX, AMSTeX, ConTeXt, XeTeX and many other packages.

SAGE 2.11

SAGE is an Open Source Mathematics Software which is an alternative to Magma, Maple, Mathematica and Matlab, and is available for the following platforms:

Xcode 2.4.1

This is the latest version of the Apple OS X development tools and compilers. It is strongly recommended that all Xcode users upgrade to this version as it corrects several bugs and security flaws found in previous versions.

Internet Explorer 7

This is the complete released version of Internet Explorer 7 that was made available by Microsoft on 19 Oct 06. The file here is for Microsoft Windows XP with Service Pack 2 which covers most of ACME's desktop computers. This download is being provided for those people who want to adopt the internet browser early. It will eventually be rolled out to all Windows clients as a part of the automatic updates process.
