What Is Supported?

We provide support for the following things:

  • ACME Owned IT Hardware
    • Budget planning and purchasing new hardware
    • Desktop and notebook support and maintenance
    • Server support and maintenance
    • School multimedia equipment
    • Warranty and support plan management
    • Repairs and replacements

  • ACME Owned Software
    • Budget planning and software aquisition
    • Software installation
    • Correcting software problems
    • Managing software licencing and support from the vendors

  • Network
    • Ensuring network connectivity to all ACME owned PCs
    • Securing the network against unauthorised access
    • Ensuring appropriate Internet usage and charging

  • IT Security
    • Providing tools and services to keep ACME PCs and servers virus free
    • Keeping operating systems and software secure to prevent unauthorised access to data
    • Limiting access to school IT resources to those who are entitled to each resource

  • Other Services
    • Provide computional server resources
    • Network drives for secure and remote data storage
    • Data backup infrastructure
    • Developing new communications and colaboration services
    • Specific off campus IT support for teaching
    • Providing advice on how IT solutions may support school research and teaching activities
    • Administering the CARDAX building access system
