About the School
The School's mission is to provide to Defence personnel, through appropriate tertiary level education and training, the skills necessary for graduates to carry out the duties and responsibilities of professional engineers in both the Defence environment and in the wider civilian community. To accomplish this mission, the School of Aerospace, Civil and Mechanical Engineering will continue to:

provide a sound educational base in all areas of the disciplines of aerospace, civil and mechanical engineering;

achieve and maintain excellence of performance in teaching and research commensurate with national and international academics standards;

ensure that our undergraduate programs satisfies the requirements of both the Engineers Australia and the Australian Defence Force;

ensure that our higher degree programs provide Defence personnel and civilians with postgraduate level technical and professional skills at a recognised standard of excellence; and
- foster links between the School and professional bodies, the Australian Defence Force and its agencies, government, industry, commerce and private practice.
