Four Years Aircraft Design experience as Stress Analyst in Design Bureau, HAL, Bangalore

Six years of post doctoral research experience at University of Toronto and National Research Council of Canada in Composite structural analysis and testing

Fifteen years of Academic Teaching in ADFA on subjects such as Structural Mechanics, Engineering Materials, Non-Destructive Inspection, Composites and Adhesives, and Composites Mechanics.

Research Interests

Fracture Mechanics, Fatigue and corrosion of aerospace structures and mechanically fastened joints, Corrosion Fatigue, Composites Testing and Analysis, Impact Damage of Polymeric Foams and Sandwich Structures, Residual Stress Measurement, Adhesively Bonded Joints, Finite Element Modelling, Non-Destructive Inspection, Bio-degradable materials, Polymers, Smart Materials, Structural Vibration and Structural Health Monitoring.

Mechanical Testing, Material Characterisation, Fracture and Fatigue Analysis, Stress Analysis, Non Destructive Inspection, Composite Testing, Corrosion Control and Prevention, Finite Element Modelling, Impact Testing and Simulation.

  8. Fatigue behaviour of advanced composite blades at elevated temperatures
  9. Non destructive inspection using Laser Speckle methods
