Professional and Teaching Experience
Since joining ADFA, I have had responsibility for the Mechanical Engineering design strand and an elective in naval architecture. I was appointed Head of School in July 2003.
Previously, I was employed as a Naval Architect, Australian Department of Defence (1978 - 1998). Appointments included various specialist engineering positions in the areas of ship hydrodynamcis, ship concept design development and ship project costing (including life cycle costing); and project management positions with partiuclar experience in the development of requirements and specifications; risk managements and designing, supporting and executing tender evaluation methodologies. Casual Lecturer at ADFA, UNSW (1997) in Naval Architecture.
