Professional and Teaching Experience

Aeronautical Engineer, Royal Australian Air Force (1992 - 2001). Posting sto Aircraft Research and Development Unit (ARDU) and Airborne Early Warnign and Control (AEW&C) Systems Project Office. Participated in an F/A-18 structural fatigue flight test program, undertook requirements analysis, specification development, tender evaluation and source selection. Areas of responsibility included structural integrity, flight performance, stability and control, reliability and maintainability, aircraft systems integration. Teaching introductory courses in fluid mechanics and thermodynamics, and senior-level course in computational fluid dynamics at ADFA

Research Interests

Computational Fluid Dynamics, Unsteady Aerodynamics, Micro-Air Vehicles, Biologically-Inspired Flight (eg. flapping wings).
