Graduates will be responsible for the
airworthiness and modification of aircraft
and engines, or the acquisition and introduction

This degree is designed to produce graduate
engineers who have a sound base in the
basic sciences (Physcis, Chemistry and
Mathematics) together with the Civil
Engineering sub-disciplines of Structures,
Hydraulics, Geomechanics, Environmental
Engineering, Project Management and Materials
Science associated with Defence projects

(Mechanical)
Graduates work in maintenance workshops,
headquarters staff, or on equipment procurement
in the materiel. Naval engineers may
be posted to a destroyer or larger ship.

(Aeronautical Engineering)
This degree is offered primarily for
RAAF officer cadets who intend to become
pilots (general duties officers) and
wish to enhance their understanding of
the aircraft they hope to fly. (Refer

- Bachelor
of Technology (Aviation)
This degree is designed for Officer Cadets
and Midshipmen who have been selected
for pilot training in the RAAF and the
NAVY. The program contains both academic
and practical flying components with
two years of studies at ADFA and a third
year, which includes a project and the
flying component of the degree presented
at Tamworth, NSW (1st session) and Pearce,
