ACSACS is a multi-disciplinary research centre at the UNSW Canberra dealing with Ethics, Military History, Literature and Civilian Leadership in Defence.
Welcome to ACSACS
Researching the effects of war on society - on the people at home, on the soldiers at the battlefront, on economies both strong and fragile, on politics, on the victors and on the vanquished
The Centre is committed to supporting the teaching of military history in Australian secondary schools through residential events hosted in Canberra. The focus is on using the expertise of military historians associated with UNSW Canberra and the ADF Academy Library Special Collections to create educational resources based on under-exploited and new historical sources. Details of future events will be posted on the Centre website.
