Distance Learning Technologies

Once upon a time distance learning relied on large reading 'bricks', lots of mail, and week long residentials - now we use information technology to help deliver your learning in a more flexible manner.

Throughout your time with us you will be using a number of different technologies to support your learning.

These technologies may include (but are not limited to):

• Teleconferences
• WebCT
• CD's or DVD's of software, video or audio snips, electronic learning guides and even entire websites loaded to CD/DVD
• Websites
• Electronic course reserves in the Academy Library
• Online discussion forums
• Chat rooms
• Online Whiteboards
• Videoconferences
