All lecture venues with video projectors include a Touch Panel Control System.
To access the system users need to have a current ADFA Network Account. Logging onto the computer activates the Touch Panel and a presentation source can then be selected (i.e. Computer, Laptop, DVD or VCR). In the tiered theatres a Document Camera has also been provided.
Conference and Seminar Support
ETS offers Audiovisual Equipment hire and Technical support for conferences and seminars held at the Academy. This support however, is usually only available outside of the normal Academic and Military teaching times.
Defence and external organisations wishing to hold a conference at the Academy should contact
SOCOORD on phone 6268 8606 or the Visit Liaison Officer on 6268 8541.
Permission to hold these activities at the Academy must be sought from either the Commandant’s and/or Rector’s office. University staff wishing to run commercial short courses or conferences should contact the Manager at the Business Development Office (BDO) on 6268 8288. The BDO also offers advice about running any conference, seminar or short course at the Academy.
Most activities associated with core business of the Academy will not attract any hire charges for the use of AV Equipment, whereas many non core activities will. When requesting to use Academy facilities you should inquire as to any possible charges that may be incurred.
Once permission for the use of the lecture theatres has been given, persons wishing to use the equipment in the theatres for Conferences, Seminars, etc. should contact the Senior Venue and Technical Support Officer on 6268861 or email ets@adfa.edu.au to arrange access to the equipment.
