Dr Daoyi Dong is an Associate Professor at the School of Engineering and Information Technology, University of New South Wales, Canberra. He received a B.E. degree and a Ph.D. degree from the University of Science and Technology of China in 2001 and 2006, respectively. He is a recipient of ACA Temasek Young Educator Award from the Asian Control Association, an International Collaboration Award and an Australian Postdoctoral Fellowship from ARC, and K.C. Wong Postdoctoral Fellowship and a President Scholarship from the Chinese Academy of Sciences. He is also a co-recipient of Guan Zhao-Zhi Award at The 34th Chinese Control Conference and the Best Theory Paper Award at The 11th World Congress on Intelligent Control and Automation. He is a Senior Member of IEEE and an Associate Editor of several journals including IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks and Learning Systems. Scholarships of $35,000 (AUD) are available for PhD students who achieved H1 /High Distinction in their UG program and/or have completed a Masters by Research.
