Dr. Karam Sallam is a Research Associate at the Capability Systems Centre, the University of New South Wales, Canberra. Dr. Sallam obtained his PhD degree in computer science from the School of Engineering and Information Technology, University of New South Wales (2014-2018), where he worked on the topic of studying function landscape and search space with the evolutionary algorithms.

His research interests include the areas of evolutionary algorithms, constrained and unconstrained optimization, scheduling, project and supply chain management, multi-objective optimization, optimization methods in cyber-security using computational intelligence.

He  serves as a reviewer in several international journals including the top-tier ones in the field. Karam was also a member of the program committee of several international conferences.
