With an academic and research background in political philosophy, the theory and practice of war and security, international history and politics, management and organizational behaviour theory, my current research interests and activities are driven by a critical engagement with the changes that are taking place in our understandings of software, wetware, of human-machine interfaces, of algorithmic and swarm intelligence, and the role played by various forms of emergent bio-informatic technologies in the creation and disassembling of global politico-strategic ensembles.

Currently, I am a member of the Values in Defence and Security Technology (VDST) research group, based at the School of Engineering & Information Technology (SEIT).
