Welcome to ASA2006

The 40th Annual Scientific Conference and General Meeting of the Astronomical Society of Australia (ASA2006) is being hosted by the School of Physical, Environmental and Mathematical Sciences of the University of NSW at the Australian Defence Force Academy (ADFA). The meeting will run from the evening of Sunday 2 July to midday on Thursday 6 July 2006 .

The conference will begin with an opening reception at Olims Canberra Hotel on the evening of Sunday 2 July. The main meeting will be held in the Lecture Theatres South block at ADFA. The conference dinner will be in the member's dining room at Old Parliament House.

Public Lecture

Harley Wood Winter School

The Harley Wood Winter School is an annual series of invited lectures and discussions for postgraduate astrophysics students. This year's Harley Wood Winter School will take place immediately before the ASA conference, running from Thursday June 29 to Sunday July 2, at Batemans Bay on the NSW South Coast.
