UNSW@ADFA

The conference venue, the Australian Defence Force Academy (ADFA) in Canberra, is the centre for higher education for the Australian Defence Force. Within the Academy, the University of New South Wales (UNSW) has a established a college known as UNSW@ADFA responsible for conducting academic programs and research. UNSW@ADFA offers undergraduate programs leading to UNSW bachelor degrees in Arts, Business, Engineering, Science and Technology. Additionally we offer opportunities for graduate study and research leading to higher degrees, diplomas and certificates.

The main conference sessions, morning and afternoon tea, and poster sessions will be held in Lecture Theatres North block at ADFA (campus map ref 32). Free parking is available on campus (ref 90 on the campus map). The conference talks will be held in Lecture Theatre 7 (LT7) which has seating for 150 and is equipped with a computer controlled LCD projector as well as whiteboard, video, overhead projector and slide facilities.

Facilities

Internet Access

Internet access will be available throughout the conference in room 108, 1st Floor PEMS South, near the poster area.

Fax and Photocopying

Fax and photocopying facilities will be available in the School of Physical, Environmental and Mathematical Sciences building (ref 26 on the campus map) adjacent to Lecture Theatres South.

Lunch

In the interests of keeping the costs down, the organisers of the conference will not be providing lunch.   Lunch is available from the ADFA Cafe. For those with a car, there are several other cafes nearby.   A map showing their location will be available at the conference.
