Telephone System Upgrade

A new Fujistsu PABX telephone system and Voice Mail System was installed on Friday, 29 July 2005.

Things that have changed:

  • All ADFA extension numbers are now five digits with the addition of an 8 before the old extension number (eg 88111 instead of 8111). The indial number (the number called from outside the Academy) remains the same (eg 6268 8111).
  • The dial tone may sound slightly different.
  • Dialling Kensington, dial 8 + five digit Kensington extension number (eg 851000 which is 02 9385 1000).
  • The new group pick-up code is #4 (previously 4).
  • The new direct pick-up code is ** + five digit extension number (eg ** 88111).
  • Transfer - Press the TFER/CONF or TRANSFER button, dial the desired number then announce the call or simply hang up. The call is now transferred.
  • Voicemail - EVERYONE will need to set up a new voice mailbox and greeting. Please select the First Day Flyer link below for instructions.
