About the School of Business
The School of Business was established in 2005, as a new name for the previous School of Economics and Management.
The School provides degree programs for the Bachelor of Business and the Master of Management Studies, as well as Graduate Diploma and Graduate Certificate programs. The School also provides courses as electives for the Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science, and teaches intensive courses in the RAAF Retention Scheme, the Australian Technical Staff Officers' Course (ATSOC) and the Australian Command and Staff College (ACSC).
The School has an active research program in the fields of economics, management, psychology, finance and accounting. Staff are also involved in interdisciplinary research projects.
The School aims to provide a supportive and friendly environment for the many students who take its courses - at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, on campus and in distance education modes. Staff strive to help students understand the forces shaping modern economies, how to handle and work with them as managers, and how to lead the way for change. The School's lively research program gives freshness to its teaching and enriches knowledge in the disciplines in which it works.
