Farhat Hamid is a Mphil student in HASS faculty at the University of New South Wales, Canberra, under supervision of associate professor Minako Sakai. Her research topic is ‘closing gender disparity in education for Muslim girls’. Her research aims to discuss and analyze gender disparity for Muslim girls in developing countries and the underlying causes of gender disparities in education. She is also interested to explore policy adoption and policy borrowing from other Muslim majority countries to find solutions to reduce gender disparity for Muslim girls of the developing countries.
