Asia Pacific Development and Security Research Group

The Asia Pacific Development and Security Research Group draws experts working on current significant socio- political changes affecting the Asia Pacific Region.  Researchers in our group explore topics related but not limited to 1) gender, religion and development, 2) regional security issues, through interdisciplinary approaches including Anthropology, Development Studies, History, Political Science and Social Policy.

Our group shares a broad research agenda with the UNSW Institute for Global Development (IGD), which aims to deliver on the UN Sustainable Development Goals.  Members participate in this group across UNSW to represent its interdisciplinary nature and also to strengthen their engagement with the Asia Pacific region.
