The Goldrick Seminar Series

James Goldrick

Co-convened by the Australian Naval Institute and the Australian Centre for the Study of Armed Conflict and Society (ACSACS), UNSW Canberra.

The Goldrick Seminars are held annually, and each year examine a different operational or organisational aspect of the Royal Australian Navy. The series brings together Defence, academia, industry and the public to hear presentations from a range of speakers. In some Goldrick seminars, syndicates are formed to examine particular issues.

The Goldrick seminar series is named in honour of Rear Admiral James Goldrick AO CSC (Retd) who is also an Adjunct Professor at UNSW Canberra. Rear Admiral Goldrick, a former President of the Australian Naval Institute, has combined a naval career with academic inquiry and has written or contributed to several books on naval history and maritime strategy.
