Being a part of the prestigious Group of Eight Universities, we are committed to creating a supportive environment where you can realise your potential.
UNSW Canberra is one of Australia’s premier specialist institutions and maintains its reputation by sustaining a significant research profile. We achieve this by attracting researchers of the highest calibre and by establishing and nurturing strong relationships with international and Australian partners.
Key Research Strengths
With our world-class facilities and equipment and our strong track record in securing research funding, our academic staff and students are able to carry out cutting-edge research that is multi-disciplinary in nature and covers a range of approaches and perspectives.
Together our staff and students support governments, businesses, communities and individuals in overcoming the many challenges of the modern world.
Many of our graduates have gone on to hold positions in leading universities and other institutions not only in Australia but overseas as well.
Due to the breadth of our research we often collaborate with many international and national institutions. By conducting much of our research in partnership with these institutions, we ensure that our research remains relevant.
We also have many state-of-the-art facilities and equipment located on campus and access to larger facilities across Australia and overseas.
The School also runs regular seminars, short courses, and hosts websites for the Condensed Matter Materials group and SARCCM. Visit our Seminars & Events page or our Outreach page for more information.
