Applying for Postgraduate Coursework Degree Programs
Once you have determined the degree you wish to apply for by consulting
the List of Available Programs (see the Postgraduate
Coursework & Research Opportunities Guide
)
you need to apply for admission to UNSW.
Online Applications
All applicants wishing to gain entry to a postgraduate coursework program must apply online. This online application will take approximately 15 minutes to complete. There is no application fee for UNSW@ADFA programs. To apply online go to myUNSW.
Late Applications
Applicants who wish to apply after the closing date must apply using the paper-based UNSW @ADFA Application form and a late fee will apply. This application is made directly to UNSW@ADFA and should be sent to:

Applicants will normally be advised whether they have been accepted into a program of study within three weeks of lodging an application. In the case of international applicants, contact is made on a case-by-case and as-needs basis. International students should allow up to six months for processing of a student visa and for arranging travel.
Closing Dates
Closing dates for applications for admission to postgraduate coursework
programs at UNSW@ADFA are:
- 20 January for admission in Session 1 (March commencement)
- 20 June for admission in Session 2 (July commencement)
Applications via the web portal "Apply Online" (https://apply.unsw.edu.au)
is always open for two years ahead of the current year.
Late applications will be accepted up until the Friday before the commencement
of each session when accompanied by a late application fee of AUD$100
and Payment of Late Application Fee

Important Information for Australian Department of Defence Funded Students
English Language Proficiency Requirements
All applicants for admission to The University of New South Wales at
the Australian Defence Force Academy, either in Australia or overseas,
whose first language is not English must provide evidence that their
English language ability meets the English
Language Proficiency Requirements.
Credit for Previous Studies (Advanced Standing)
Students who have previously completed courses at a recognised university
can apply for credit. Limited credit
may be granted for courses which are considered equivalent in standard,
level, objectives and relevance to the program in which they are enrolling
or enrolled at UNSW@ADFA.
