Program Transfer

Students wishing to transfer between programs of study should consult their Divisional Officer prior to approaching Student Administration. If the Divisional Officer is in favour of the student pursuing the request the student should seek academic advice. Students wishing to transfer into Engineering or between Engineering programs should consult the Heads of the relevant Engineering Schools. Students wishing to transfer between BA and BSc, or from Engineering or Technology to BA or BSc, should consult the Director of Student Administration.

Issues to be considered:

• Tertiary Entrance Rank upon commencing at UNSW.

• Academic performance since commencing at UNSW.

• Appropriate academic background (eg. if wanting to do Engineering should have the appropriate assumed knowledge requirements in mathematics and physics).

The ADF has the final say in program transfers. If military approval is not given for a program transfer it will not be approved by Student Administration.

Process:

1.	Consult Divisional Officer.
2.	Consult academic staff or Director, Student Administration.
3.	Complete the Program Transfer form.
4.	Obtain signature and comments from Director, Student Administration.
5.	Obtain military approval.
6.	Submit the completed form to Student Administration.
