Guidelines for Distance Education Mode Examinations

All distance examinations are included in the UNSW@ADFA Provisional and Final Examination Timetable listings. Distance examinations are scheduled to take place at the same time as their on-campus counterparts.

All distance education students must complete the Student Examination Registration Form , giving details of where they will be undertaking their examination.

Locations for Distance Exams

Candidates residing in the Australian Capital Territory or within 100 kilometres of ADFA, are required to take their examinations at the UNSW@ADFA campus in Canberra. Distance education students will be required to sit in the same examination venue as their on-campus counterparts and should refer to the on-campus course's examination timetable for the examination room details.

Candidates residing in the greater Sydney region, are required to take their examinations at the University of New South Wales campus in Sydney at Kensington.

Candidates taking examinations outside the prescribed locations are to select a suitable location for the conduct of the examination and approach an impartial and responsible member of the community who is not a close relative or next of kin, when selecting a supervisor. Note, that any costs associated with the organisation of an examination outside the prescribed locations are to be borne by the student.

Form Submission

The completed form must be submitted to the Examinations Officer, Mrs Debbie Dennis, by email, fax or post as outlined on the form.

To allow the Examinations Officer sufficient time to organise these examinations, the information must be submitted by the date specified at the bottom of the form.

Semester 1, 2008 - 7 May, 2008
Semester 2, 2008 - 24 September, 2008

An email confirmation of our receipt of your examination registration will be sent.

The Examinations Officer will liaise directly with your nominated supervisor or Examination branch following your registration.
