Course Withdrawal |

Course Discontinuation without Failure You may drop a class or withdraw from a course without failure provided your application is lodged by the following dates: Discontinuation without failure dates: Session 1 Course: drop to 31 March, discontinue from April to end of Week 8. Session 2 Course: drop to 31 August, discontinue from September to end of Week 8. Whole Year Course: end of second week of second session. |

Tuition Fee Liability |

| Please note that a tuition fee liability will be incurred for any courses that you are enrolled in at the relevant Census Dates. | |
| CENSUS DATES | |
31 March: Session 1 courses and Session 1 component of Whole Year courses. |

Centrelink Allowances |

| If you are in receipt of Youth Allowance, Austudy, Abstudy or any other Centrelink allowance you should consult Centrelink prior to submitting this form to determine the effect the proposed variation may have on your eligibility now or in some future year. You should immediately advise your nearest Centrelink branch that you have discontinued your current enrolment program. | |
Program Leave |
|
Program leave may be granted to undergraduate or postgraduate students. Leave is generally restricted to a total of two sessions; applications for leave in excess of two sessions will be approved only in exceptional circumstances at the discretion of the Program Authority and the Registrar's nominee. Undergraduate student may be granted leave before commencement of the course. This type of leave, usually referred to as deferment of enrolment, will normally be granted once only and for a maximum of two session. |

International Students |

International students who are on a student visa should ensure that they will continue to meet the obligations of their visa. Further information on this is available from Student Administrative Services or the Department of Immigration & Multicultural & Indigenous Affairs (DIMIA). Any changes in your enrolment status may be reported to DIMIA. The University of New South Wales at the Australian Defence Force Academy is a registered ACT provider - CRICOS CODE 00100G. |

All Students |

| 1. | Leave must be sought prior to the census date: 31 March for Session 1 or Whole Year Leave, or prior to 31 August for Session 2 leave. |
| 2. | A student who discontinues a program, with or without failure after the census date for a session retains an enrolment record for that session and is subject to the rules on re-enrolment. If you discontinue after the Session 1 census date you may apply for leave for Session 2 of that year. |
| 3. | A student whose application for leave is rejected or who does not resume study at the end of the approved leave period must formally apply, in the usual manner, for re-admission to the Program. |
| 4. | Enquiries about re-admission to a program should be directed to Student Administrative Services. |
