Welcome to the University of New South Wales at the Australian Defence Force Academy (UNSW@ADFA).
These pages are designed to inform prospective postgraduate students about the programs offered by UNSW@ADFA. Our postgraduate programs are open to all members of the public, Australian Defence Force personnel and international students.
Postgraduate programs at UNSW@ADFA are designed to keep students a
step ahead of developing educational and professional environments.
Courses and research within programs provide the knowledge and skills
required to master a specific discipline, as well as a practical understanding
of how these teachings can be implemented.
Through the flexibility of our programs, UNSW@ADFA can meet the individual
needs of all postgraduate students – from advanced scholars to
professionals seeking to enhance their expertise.
UNSW@ADFA offers five different coursework programs at postgraduate level:
- Arts
- Defence Studies
- Engineering Science
- Management Studies, and
- Science.
There are various specialisations or plans available within these programs that allow students to focus on a specific discipline area or to acquire a broader based qualification. In most programs, students are able to begin studying at the certificate or diploma level, through to masters level. UNSW@ADFA also offers masters and doctorate degrees by research.
All degrees are awarded by UNSW, which is a member of Australia’s
Group of Eight institutions and the International network Universitas
