SEMESTER 1 ENROLMENT

myUNSW - https://my.unsw.edu.au - is now open for Semester 1, 2008 enrolment. If you experience any difficulties with your online enrolment, please contact Student Administrative Services (SAS) on 02 6268 6000, email sas@adfa.edu.au or visit the SAS on Level 2 of the Administration Building 1 at ADFA where we can provide you with face-to-face assistance.

S1, 2008 classes commence on Monday 3 March. To assist with timetabling you should enrol by Friday, 20 January? Also, a reminder that the final date to enrol in distance mode courses is Friday, 29 February and you can add, drop or swap on-campus courses until Friday, 14 March.

Distance Mode students - please ensure your mailing address is correct on myUNSW so that your course materials will be posted to the right address! If you have any queries about your course materials, please contact Education Technology Services (ETS):

2008 HANDBOOK

The 2008 Handbook is now been published and is available online or hardcopy. If you would like a hardcopy sent to you, please email sas@adfa.edu.au with your address details.

COURSE ADVICE

Students who expect to complete their program in Semester 1 2008 should have their final course selection checked for eligibility purposes.

When you complete your enrolment via myUNSW could you please take the time to check your contact details. If your are a current serving member of Defence and have changed rank, please complete and fax a Request to Change Name or Title/Rank form which can be downloaded from http://www.unsw.adfa.edu.au/student/forms/namechange.pdf

SEMESTER 1 IMPORTANT DATES

Semester 1 commences Monday 3 March
The last day to drop courses without financial penalty - before 31 March
The last day to drop courses without academic penalty - before 31 March - course/s will not appear on your academic transcript.
The last day to drop courses without academic penalty after 31 March but no later than 25 April - course/s will appear on your academic transcript with NF (not Fail) grade.
Course/s dropped after 25 April will incur a FN (Fail) grade.
Course/s cannot be dropped once the formal examination period commences on 23 June.

PROGRAM LEAVE

If you do NOT intend to study in Semester 1 you must submit an Application for Program Leave form before the commencement of the semester. This form can be downloaded from the Student Gateway under the Forms page at - http://www.unsw.adfa.edu.au/student/forms/pgforms.html

DEFENCE FUNDED STUDENTS

As you have already been admitted to UNSW@ADFA you are considered a 'continuing student' and can enrol for Semester 1 by following the instructions above. To retain your defence funding you do NOT need to submit a UNSW@ADFA Application form to us but you MUST have re-applied and been approved for continued defence funding. Information on the approval process was outlined in DEFGRAM 552/2007 - issued 14 September - see http://www.unsw.adfa.edu.au/student/fees/index.html. Please note that SAS is not able to provide any advice or assistance relating to this Department of Defence application process.
