Support Services for Postgraduate Research students
Research Student Unit (RSU)
The Research Student Unit is a unit within Student Administration Services, located in Building 111 (Adams Auditorium) providing higher degree research candidates with quality administrative support and enhancing their educational experience at UNSW Canberra. The RSU can assist with enquiries regarding admission, scholarships, enrolment, research candidature, thesis submission and graduation.

Graduate Research School (GRS)
This confidential, free of charge service with a qualified professional clinical psychologist (student counsellor), is designed to support students work through challenges, navigate change, and regain balance. All enrolled UNSW Canberra postgraduate students are entitled to counselling sessions.
What kind of assistance is provided?
- Study related issues (adjustment, motivation, procrastination, resilience, time management)
- Work related issues (career, performance, staff/supervisor management)
- Relationships (couple, family, social, work)
- Emotional concerns (distress, grief, anxiety, depression)
- Life choices (identity, career, spiritual, confidence, decision-making)
- Stressful circumstances (health, bereavement, break-ups, cultural transitions)

Equity, Diversity and Inclusion
The Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Office is a highly confidential environment where students are welcome to seek support and discuss options for resolution of concerns about Equity matters, including:
- Advice and referral for students on Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, flexible study and wellbeing matters
- Advice and support for reasonable adjustments
- Management of a range of Equity and Diversity initiatives, projects, events and activities for students
- Co-ordination of UNSW Canberra’s Equity, Diversity and inclusion Committee and Equity plan
- Equity, Diversity and Inclusion training and resources

Information Communication and Technology Services (ICTS)
Information, Communication and Technology Services (ICTS) is the central Information Technology provider for the whole UNSW Canberra campus.
ICTS is a member of the Student and Academic Support Group (SASG) which provides client focused support for the teaching, research, training and administration needs of UNSW Canberra.
Information and Communications and Technology Services is of critical importance to the University in the support of academic enquiry and research, teaching and learning, core business activities and communications. In recognition of this, UNSW Canberra provides computing, email, Internet and communication facilities to its staff and students for the purposes of research, teaching and learning; and to support the administration of the University.

The Academic Language and Learning (ALL) Unit assists students to further develop their academic research, writing and presentation skills.
We offer individual consultations with learning advisors, workshops and online resources to help you achieve your academic potential.

The Academy Library provides you with a wealth of electronic and physical resources, collections and services to support your academic research and maximise scholarly communication.
Library staff are available to assist you in a range of ways - in person, by phone or via the Ask Us FAQs or Query service. For in-depth assistance we invite you to book an extended research consultation.
Arc Canberra is a voluntary student organisation that provides benefits and services tailored towards students (civilian undergraduates and higher degree research students) at UNSW Canberra.
