UNSW Canberra graduates shape Australia, the region and the international community as leaders in defence, government and industry.

Working at the intersection of a leading university and a military academy, UNSW has been educating defence leaders for half a century.

The information here is for prospective students. Current students should refer to their relevant UNSW Handbook.

UNSW Canberra has opened entry to its undergraduate engineering programs to the general public for study commencing in 2016.

UNSW Canberra has one of the largest engineering programs in the ACT and surrounding regions and is the only university that currently offers the traditional engineering disciplines of civil, electrical, mechanical and aeronautical engineering from the first year.

Students who are already studying for their engineering degree at other Universities are also able to complete their engineering studies at UNSW Canberra.

Undergraduate entry to the Academy is open to Australian residents who are members of the Australian Defence Force and selected members of overseas Armed Forces. Cadets are selected by one of the three armed services and must also meet academic entry requirements as well as age, physical and personal requirements.
