Microsoft Windows XP and Office 2003 Training

Introduction

UNSW@ADFA ICT Services provides the following interactive and computer based training packages from Microsoft for staff and students. These courses enable training in the use of Microsoft Windows XP and the Microsoft Office 2003 suite of office products. The courses assist users at beginner stage through to users at the advanced stage. These training modules are available for use by all UNSW@ADFA staff and students.

This service will be continuously improved and users are encouraged to report any difficulties they may encounter to the ICTS Service Desk.

The courses are divided up into collections with each collection containing multiple modules. Each course is comprised of a series of related lessons. A more detailed description of the courses in each collection is discussed below.

Collections

Microsoft Windows XP Collection

This collection teaches basic and advanced computer use skills with Microsoft Windows XP, it includes the following courses:

• Core Training for Microsoft Windows XP Professional
• Microsoft Computer Dictionary, Fifth Edition
• Microsoft Windows XP Inside Out

Microsoft Office Standard Edition 2003 Collection

Provides basic to intermediate training on the main Microsoft Office applications. Courses include:

• Core Training for Microsoft Office Excel 2003
• Core Training for Microsoft Office Outlook 2003
• Core Training for Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2003
• Core Training for Microsoft Office Word 2003

Communicate and Manage with Microsoft Office 2003 Collection

Provides basic to intermediate training on other Microsoft Office applications. Courses include:

• Core Training for Microsoft Access 2003
• Core Training for Microsoft Office FrontPage 2003
• Core Training for Microsoft Project 2003

Advanced Microsoft Office 2003 Collection

This collection provides more advanced training in the core Microsoft Office applications and includes the following courses:

• Advanced Training for Microsoft Office Excel 2003
• Advanced Training for Microsoft Office Outlook 2003
• Advanced Training for Microsoft Office Word 2003

These courses offer a further in-depth look at some of the Office applications:
