HASS is superbly placed to (geographically and intellectually) to play a high quality role in developing the leading scholar-practitioners of the future. HASS brings together more than 80 academics (faculty and adjunct) whose collective expertise supports a comprehensive array of subjects in the security, diplomacy and politics of South and East Asia and the broader Indo-Pacific. World-class research distinguishes our School, but also adds an essential element of quality to our core goal of educating the best leaders for Defence and government agencies from Australia and abroad. Such research enables the school to attract postgraduate research candidates from across the world, and to participate in international forums as respected voices to contemporary debates.
