About UNSW Canberra at the Australian Defence Force Academy
"Forging the next generation of scholar-practitioners through the front-lines of knowledge, shared expertise, and best practice policy."
Since the initial partnership forged between the Australian Department of Defence and the University of New South Wales (UNSW) in 1967 – followed by the formation of the Australian Defence Force Academy in 1986 – the school’s postgraduate courses have attracted enrolments from government and defence officials across the Indo-Pacific and, consequently, embraces one of the largest networks of government alumni in the field. Participants in the three pillars of the Executive Education Program will be exposed to one of the best learning environments in the country where, of more than 3,000 universities, UNSW is ranked 48 in the world (QS World University Rankings, 2014-2015). Further, Canberra is ranked as the best city in the world to live in by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).
