United Nations Bioweapons Convention Meeting of Experts
During August 2018, ACSACS Research Fellow Revd. Dr. Nikki Coleman spent two weeks in Geneva at the United Nations Bioweapons Convention Meeting of Experts.
179 countries, the World Health Organisation, and a few other select NGOs were meeting to discuss the Bioweapons Convention and how it related to new technologies such as whole genome sequencing and synthetic biology.
Discussions were frank, spirited and wide ranging and even included a smattering of ethics.
