The Centre provides comprehensive and independent assurance to senior management and project/program managers. These structured assessments focus on project management, technical, business and innovation aspects of capability development or acquisition activities. The assessments can be undertaken to support decision making at any level or at any point throughout the life cycle.

Schedule Compliance Risk Assessment Methodology (SCRAM)
The Schedule Compliance Risk Assessment Methodology (SCRAM) is an independent assessment used to identify risks and issues which may impact project or program schedules. SCRAM embodies best practices from engineering, schedule development and project management. SCRAM can be used for the definition, assessment and improvement of schedule compliance.
SCRAM can be used:
• By organisations to construct a schedule that maximizes the likelihood of schedule compliance.
• To ensure common risks are addressed before the project schedule is baselined at the commencement of a project.
• To monitor project status, performed when requested or to support milestone reviews.
• To evaluate challenged projects, to assess the likelihood of schedule compliance, root cause of schedule slippage and recommend risk mitigation or remediation of project issues.
The audience for SCRAM includes:
• executives and other decision makers,
• project and program managers,
• engineers and project staff such as schedulers, and
• anyone interested in achieving project schedule compliance.
Technical & Engineering Risk Assessments
A risk assessment service is provided that focuses on analysis of the technical and engineering risks associated with capability development and acquisition activities. These risk assessments can range from high level and short duration analyses to more comprehensive assessments dependant on the complexity and scale of the project/program. Independent advice on corresponding risk reduction activities is also available.
Technical Implementation Risk Assessment (TIRA)
Systematically identify risks and inform the risk reduction work necessary to implement the proposal or future project activities. The TIRA focuses on system development activities including requirements determination, design, prototyping, manufacturing and production, software development, system integration (platform and
capability integration), validation and verification, and test and evaluation.
A TIRA can be conducted at various points across the CLC and to the depth necessary.
Business & Innovation Assessments
The Centre is able to provide practical insights into the current and potential business capability and capacity with a focus on system design, manufacturing/production and integration. These assessments provide an analysis of the business’ ability to deliver and sustain the capability or provide assurance of their innovation potential in a specified domain.
