Systems thinking and modelling is an interdisciplinary field which cuts across many scientific fields (e.g. decision science, systems science, and computer science), and whose applications are widely used in several decision contexts (e.g. project management, healthcare). This conference will bring together researchers and practitioners working across the various research aspects.

PARARI 2017: Australian Explosive Ordnance Safety Symposium is an international explosive ordnance safety symposium hosted jointly by the Australian Department of Defence Directorate of Ordnance Safety, Thales and the Capability Systems Centre. The Conference welcomes delegates from around the globe to discuss a broad range of explosives, munitions and weapons safety topics.

The Capability Systems Centre at UNSW Canberra, on behalf of Defence, will provide a short course on the CLC and capability management practices for the capability workforce.
The CLC and Capability Management Practices short coursewill be delivered by Associate Professor Mike Ryan and Dr Shari Soutberg at Adams Auditorium, ADFA, during the period 5-9 Feb 18. The course not only describes the CLC but also situates it in the broader context and explains the underpinning practices.

The Conference is an opportunity for Defence, industry, research and academic institutions to come together and discuss key reliability and maintenance challenges and potential solutions that face Defence projects today. It also provides an opportunity for industry to provide direct feedback and suggestions to the Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG) on reliability and maintenance engineering matters.
