The Graduate Certificate in Systems Engineering is designed for postgraduate scholars with an undergraduate qualification and/or extensive professional experience who wish to develop a high level understanding of the principles and practices of systems engineering and to strengthen their skills in this area.
The Graduate Certificate in Systems Engineering aims to allow students to develop a high level of understanding of the principles that shape systems engineering and their implementation through the design, development and application phases.

Students undertaking GradCert in Systems Engineering are required to complete 24 Units of Credit (UOC) by completing four 6-UOC courses from the list in the Handbook entry for the program (see the list in Course Availability below).
Students must complete 6UOC of the following core course.
ZEIT8226 Systems Engineering Practice - Please note that this core course is only offered in S1 2021

Important Information - Job Ready Graduates Package
This Graduate Certificate is available to domestic students only.
Under the Australian Government's Job Ready Graduates Package, domestic students commencing in 2021 can access the CSP fee rate for the 4 courses (24 units of credit) in either Semester 1 or 2, 2021.
Through the Job Ready Graduates Package, a limited number of CSP fee supported places are offered in 2021 for eligible domestic students in this Graduate Certificate.
Due to limited course availability, it is not possible to study 4 courses (full time) in S2 2021. Commencement in S2 2021 is part-time study only.
