Josh is a PhD candidate in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at UNSW Canberra. His research examines Supreme Headquarters Allied Expeditionary Force (SHAEF) in the European theatre of operations, and the part it played during the Allied campaign from Normandy to the fall of Germany. He holds a BA (Hons) in History from Durham University, a Masters in Modern History from King’s College, London, and a Masters in National Security Policy from ANU. Josh currently works as a historian at the Australian Army History Unit and has previously worked in Defence intelligence and at the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
