Korean Studies Lab (KSL) Grant from the Academy of Korean Studies

KRI@UNSW has been selected by the Academy of Korean Studies (AKS) to conduct ‘Laboratory Program for Korean Studies’ projects. This is the most sophisticated, competitive, the largest and academically rigorous AKS led research funding scheme only available to handful top research institutes globally. KRI@UNSW is the only initiative in the world to receive the grant through two consecutive terms signifying our key strengths in advancing Korean Studies in global scale.
The main aim of this project is to conduct an academic research, entitled “State Capacity and Policy Implementation for National Development: A Comparative Study of Korea and 8 Southeast Asian Countries; and through this project to contribute to strengthening academic theories related to Korea’s successful experiences and to contribute to continuing development of Korean Studies in Southeast Asia.
