Planning to Publish for Impact

Develop a considered and effective approach to building your research profile for impact. This practical workshop will also equip you to sustainably manage your research outputs using selected techniques and resources. After completing this session, you’ll be able to:

• Identify and evaluate publication outlets relevant to your discipline and target audiences
• Identify specific techniques and tips to improve the visibility of your publications in your chosen outlets
• Manage your research publications including open access self-archiving
• Identify and evaluate the range of outlets that can be used to project your research profile
• Use research profile tools to increase the visibility of your publications
• Recognise sources of UNSW support in building your profile and considering outlets to do so
