Forhad is a Research Fellow (Academic Level B) with the School of Engineering and Information Technology, University of New South Wales (UNSW), Canberra. He received his PhD in Computer Science from UNSW, Canberra, and M.Sc. and B.Sc. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET), Bangladesh.

His research interests include:

  • Applied Artificial Intelligence,
  • Evolutionary Algorithm,
  • Optimisation under Uncertainty,
  • Multi-objective Optimisation, 
  • Evolutionary Game Theory, and
  • Power System Optimisation.  

Forhad has been involving in teaching with SEIT, UNSW Canberra since 2014, and worked as a university lecturer in the faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering in RUET, Bangladesh for more than four years. He has first-authored well over 30 refereed publications including top three IEEE Transactions and eight Q1 journal papers. He has been the reviewer of different top journals in several in top journals in the fields of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering.
