Mr Sandeep Singh

BA (Hons), MA (National University of Singapore). Sandeep is a PhD candidate in English with an interdisciplinary focus. His research examines the relationship between literary production and political power in the Cold War, in Australia and Southeast Asia. His previous degrees were in history. His research interests include Cold War Studies, Literary History, Cultural History, Postcolonialism, Poetry, and Southeast Asian and Australian History. During his Masters, Sandeep taught numerous courses as a tutor at the National University of Singapore, and had won three awards for graduate teaching.

Sandeep has authored more than a dozen annotated bibliography entries for the project Empire in Asia: A New Global History, which are published on the online platform to accompany two published volumes by Bloomsbury. He will be authoring a forthcoming chapter on Australia’s role in the Southeast Asia Treaty Organization (SEATO), for the collection Languages of War and Conflict.
