Mr Veasna Var

Mr. Var Veasna is a Ph.D candidate in Political and International Studies at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) at the Australian Defense Force Academy (ADFA), Canberra under the Endeavour Post Graduate Scholarship from 2015-2019. He joined the Cambodia Institute for Strategic Studies (CISS) as a Research Fellow in 2015. He received two Master’s Degrees in strategic Studies from Deakin University and Graduate Diploma in Strategic Studies from the Australian Defense College, the Center for Defense and Strategic Studies (CDSS) in 2011 and most recently, another Master Degree in Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College in 2014. His primary research interests are China’s foreign and development policy towards developing countries, Chinese foreign and security policy, Asia Pacific security and Cambodia-China relations.
