Ms Ngoc Nguyen

Ms. Ngoc M. Nguyen is the Deputy Director of the Center for Archival Research at the Institute for Bien Dong Maritime Studies, Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam. She joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2008 and has been working in the ministry-affiliated think tanks since then. Before taking up her new position at the Institute for Bien Dong Maritime Studies, she has written extensively on Vietnam and U.S. foreign policy and Asia-Pacific security and been able to apply her expertise into practice by working at the Department for Policy Planning. Ms. Ngoc also took part and contributed significantly to a number of young leaders’ networks including the SIF-ASEAN Student Fellows, Young Global Citizen Program, ASEAN-Australia Emerging Leaders Program and the Pacific Forum Young Leaders Program. She graduated among top five of her Bachelor class of International Relations at the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam and was awarded the Australia Endeavour Scholarship in 2010 to complete her master’s degree of International Affairs at the Australia National University. She currently pursues her doctoral degree at the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of New South Wales at Australian Defence Force Academy, Canberra, Australia.
