Judy is the recipient of the 2019 Secretary for Defence Fellowship. Over the past three years, Judy was the Director of Pacific Islands and Maritime Security and was responsible for leading and implementing international Defence policy with Pacific Island Countries including Fiji, Tonga, Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, Palau, Kiribati, Federated States of Micronesia, Cook Islands, Tuvalu and Marshall Islands. As Director, Judy was also responsible for managing and implementing the Australian Government Pacific Maritime Security Program and Pacific Patrol Boat Program. Judy has held senior roles across the Department of Defence and in advocacy and non-government organisations. Judy is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and has held several Non-Executive Board positions in national and local government authorities. Judy was awarded an Order of Australia Medal in 2003. Judy has a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Business, a Master’s Degree in Strategy and Security
