UNSW is among the top three Australian universities for graduates finding jobs, according to the latest rankings.

Of the 500 institutions published in the 2018 QS Graduate Employability Rankings, UNSW is ranked third in Australia and 36th in the world.

The QS ranking follows last month’s maximum five-star rating for ‘Getting a Job’ in the Good Universities Guide

The Australian Human Rights Centre (ARHCentre) at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) has launched On Safe Ground: A Good Practice Guide for Australian Universities today.

The report draws on the findings of the Australian Human Rights Commission’s National Student Survey on Sexual Harassment and Sexual Assault released earlier this week and makes 18 recommendations, including the establishment of a national cross-university taskforce to focus on consistent policies, procedures and practices relating to sexual harassment and assaults on campus.

UNSW welcomes the release of the Australian Human Rights Commission’s student survey on sexual harassment and sexual assault in Australian universities as a critical step in assisting us to address this behaviour. The report provides important information about the nature and the prevalence of sexual student assault and harassment in our universities.

A new web portal aimed at making it easier for UNSW students or staff to report sexual assault and sexual harassment, and find and navigate information on available support services was launched this week at UNSW.

The Sexual Assault, Harassment & Misconduct portal was launched by the University’s President and Vice-Chancellor, Professor Ian Jacobs, who stressed the importance of having an easily accessible and dedicated reporting point for the UNSW community to report sexual misconduct issues.
