Biometric cancellable template design
Conventional authentication mechanism relies on password or possession of token.
Conventional authentication mechanism relies on password or possession of token.
Program Code: 1885
Objectives:
Conventional authentication mechanism relies on password or possession of token. However, password and token cannot genuinely identify a person as both password and token can be presented by someone else. Biometrics such as fingerprint, face, iris etc are quite uniquely representing individual. Therefore they are good tools for identity authentication. However, biometrics stored in the template also needs to be protected. This project investigates how to protect biometrics stored in the template.
Description of work:
Studying and analysing existing cancellable template algorithms
Designing new cancellable template algorithms
Skills Required:
Good math background especially statistics and concrete programming skills.
