Literary
A collection of literary papers of Gabrielle Carey. Most material relates to In My Father’s House (1992). The collection includes drafts and manuscripts, early versions, annotations by author Rory Barnes, and galley proofs. There is also correspondence between Carey and her father, the social psychologist Alexander Carey.

Gabrielle Carey is an Australian author and academic. She is best known for the teen novel Puberty Blues (1979), co-written with Kathy Lette and since adapted for film and television. She currently works as a lecturer in writing at the University of Technology Sydney.
She has published one another novel, The Borrowed Girl (1994), based on her time living in Mexico, and four autobiographical books. These include In My Father’s House (1992), which deals with the suicide of her father, the social psychologist Alexander Carey. Her 2013 book, Moving Among Strangers was the joint winner of the 2014 Prime Minister’s Award for Non-Fiction.
