Stephen Knight’s papers are mainly comprised of manuscripts submitted for a monthly crime short-story competition in The Australian Way (the in-flight magazine of Australian Airlines) which he edited for publication in a number of annual editions. Authors include RF Brissenden, Jennifer Rowe and Jackie French

Stephen Knight was born in the United Kingdom in 1940, and was educated at Bournemouth Grammar School and the University of Oxford. He moved to Australia in 1963 as a Teaching Fellow at the University of Sydney, and his career included positions at the University of Melbourne, the De Montfort University, Leicester and Cardiff University. Knight has authored over thirty books, his areas of expertise including medieval English and European literature and crime fiction
