Are employees with Huawei phones a security risk for your company?

John Davidson

The US government's campaign to block Huawei products from Western markets has fallen on deaf ears with Australian consumers.

Huawei's phones are now enjoying record-high levels of interest from Australian consumers, despite US government warnings that the Chinese company is a security risk and that its products could help Chinese authorities spy on their rivals.

An analysis of search patterns to the mobile phone comparison site WhistleOut has found that would-be phone buyers are undaunted by the US-led, anti-Huawei campaign, with interest in Huawei phones now more than 10 times higher than it was at this time last year.
